Cardiff International Arena
The Cardiff International Arena (CIA) is right in the city centre, and
generally rated as one of the UK's most modern venues, as its enormous
capacity makes it perfect for hosting large exhibitions and international
music concerts alike.
The CIA has a number of different function areas, the
key one being the Main Arena, which offers 4,500 square metres of
purpose-built exhibition space. There are also more than 30 additional
areas ranging from a Conference Suite for 460 to an executive boardroom for 4
people, so every need is covered, and only a stone's throw from many of the
city's best hotels, shopping and nightlife too.
Big events like the BAFTA Cymru awards take place here, touring comedy acts often take the stage and stars including Shirley Bassey and Bob Dylan have performed their shows in
the Main Arena. Regular exhibitions include jobs fairs, craft shows and
computer/technology shows.
Tickets for these kinds of shows and exhibitions
can be bought at the door, whereas tickets for major concerts and events
need to be booked well in advance - phone the box office for details of
what's available.
