"Magical storytelling...Engaging, inspiring and exquisitely performed. This is an hysterical and accomplished piece of work which will stay with you for days" - Time Out

When stand-up comic Tom Wrigglesworth boarded the delayed 10.15 Virgin Trains service from Manchester to London he didn’t bank on the attention of the national press, let alone a prestigious 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination.

Direct from a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival, Wrigglesworth is out on the road and railing against Richard Branson and Virgin Trains in this true story where one random act of kindness caused good to triumph over evil. Tom will be recounting a story of unfettered chivalry involving himself, the world’s biggest jobsworth (played by a Virgin Train Manager), a distressed 75-year-old, a brown paper bag from the onboard canteen and his subsequent attempts to introduce ‘Lena’s Law’.

A cross between Sideshow Bob and Mark Thomas-style political engagement it’s no surprise that he’s being described, by The Times at least, as a “people’s hero”.

The Sheffield-born stand-up has been performing for over seven years and with a Channel 4 ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ award (2003) to his name he is beginning to justify those ‘one to watch’ plaudits.
