"Hilarious, casual but crushing comments on class, politics and the dreary, unfriendly place that is England... Britain might just have found it’s very own Michael Moore" The Guardian
"He remains admirably spiky and uncompromising as well as a genuine commentator – very, very funny. Catch him while you can." Independent
Jeremy Hardy is one of the UK's foremost stand-up comedians. A winner of the prestigious Perrier Award in the earlier days of the UK circuit Jeremy has since gone on to establish himself as as a fine satirical comedian, writer and broadcaster wholly unafraid of mixing his socialist politics with his sharp, topical comedy. In an age when we desperately need people who can articulately engage us in ideas AND make them funny now is just the right time to discover Jeremy if you haven’t already had the pleasure.
In his own words he is perhaps "best remembered as a much younger man, but there is nothing he can do about that now. Still alive and able to speak unaided for lengthy periods, this will not be so much a one-man show as an under-staffed cavalcade."
When he’s not touring Jeremy is now an essential member of Radio 4’s The News Quiz team as well as regularly appearing on I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, Hamish and Dougal and Just A Minute.
He also writes and performs his own series, again for Radio 4, the hugely successful Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation.
Recent TV credits include Grumpy Old Men (BBC1), Q.I. (BBC2) and Mock The Week (BBC2).
Ever keen to diversify, Jeremy appeared in Hotel (2001) – a feature film directed by Mike Figgis – staring opposite Burt Reynolds, David Schwimmer and Rhys Ifans.
