In this brand new show Justin Moorhouse is on a mission to discover his 5 true friends. His band of brothers. His nana once said you are truly blessed if you can count your friends on the fingers of one hand. She also said cats were magic and Ken Dodd was her ex-boyfriend, but that was when she was a bit older. Justin has counted and he’s got 641 "friends". Obviously they’re not all real – they’re just contacts on his phone, facebook randoms, some people he once sent an email to, mates, colleagues, people who he went to school with and he hasn’t seen for twenty years (but they still think it’s ok to occasionally "poke him"), an ex-wife, the current potential wife, and a bloke he bought a lamp from on eBay. Join him as he explores his address book and begins the purge. Who goes, who stays...he decides!
Justin starred in two series of the award winning, legendary ‘Phoenix Nights’, and has since kept viewers chuckling on ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Shameless’ (Ch4) ‘The Grumpy Guides’ (BBC 2), ‘The World Stands-Up’ and ‘The Comedy Store’ (Paramount). Justin’s exuberant, larger than life personality and cheeky northern charm earned him support slots early in his career with such stand-up luminaries as Jimmy Carr, Peter Kay and Dave Spikey, bagging a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Performance’ at the prestigious Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards while he was at it.
Following last year’s Edinburgh Festival debut, he toured the UK to sell-out audiences and critical acclaim and had a show commissioned by Radio 4. With a daily radio show on Manchester’s Key 103 which has twice been nominated for Sony Awards and a part in Ken Loach’s new film in the can he's all set to hit the big screen in the Autumn.
Phew. Catch him while can!
