I come down to Cardiff, from North Wales, to watch a Six Nations match every year. This year we chose the Ireland match and based on positive reviews from friends and on the internet we decided to stay at Nos Da. It couldn't be easier to find, located on the banks of the River Taff directly opposite the Millennium Stadium.
When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff who were more than helpful and after checking in decided it was time for a hard earned drink. The hotels bar, Tafarn, is really welcoming and has a very cosy atmosphere offering local beers on draft and a wide selection of bottled beer and wine from all over the world. After sinking several bottles of Peroni we thought it best to eat something and I chose the Welsh black beef curry while my friend continued the Italian theme with a panini.
Both were extremely tasty and excellent value for money.
We ventured into the city centre for the nightlife as were meeting friends but it was evident that Nos Da was the place to be.
Tafod, their music lounge was open and was filling up quickly.
Not that it matters on a rugby weekend but its worth pointing out that the rooms were fantastic, very clean and comfortable and had an ensuite bathroom. I will definitely be coming back to Nos Da and will be joining the ever increasing list of people keen to recommend this lovely place
